This association has a great mission of contributing hugely to national, state, and local efforts to promote the well-being and overall health of people with Disabilities.
The Association on Health and Disability accomplishes this vision through education, advocacy, and research at the national, state & local levels.
Every year AAHD offers scholarships to students with Disabilities in the following field

Scholarship Program criteria on AAHD
- Applicants must be legally living in the US or US permanent citizens.
- They must be studying in one of the accredited colleges or universities.
- Students applying for this scholarship must be enrolled as full-time undergraduates and must have completed one year or more in the college or university.
- Graduate students applying for this must be enrolled in a part-time or full-time course and pursuing a postgraduate degree.
- Students applying for this should have a valid document that verifies them as someone with a disability according to the Americans with disability act.
- Applicants should be selected based on those who participated in volunteer activities and community services.

The National Federation of the Blind (NFB)
This is one of the top organizations offering scholarships to students with Disabilities, NFB mostly focuses on people with blindness.
They help the blind to live the kind of life they want without being held back by blindness, they help the blind to realize and create great expectations for themselves.
Since 1984 the NFB has been giving scholarships to blind students, this is one of the largest scholarship programs in the United States.
Every year they offer more than $250,000 in prizes & cash to blind students all over and across the 50 states in the U.S.
Eligibility for this scholarship
- Applicants must be 18 years old.
- Those applying for this scholarship must be legally blind.
- Applicants must be pursuing or planning to pursue full-time education. Etc.

The 180 Medical Scholarship Program
This program is specifically made for students living with specific health conditions such as
- Spinal cord injuries.
- Ostomy
- Spinal BifidaÂ
- Neurogenic bladder
- Transverse myelitis etc.
They fully understand that students with this kind of problem need financial assistance, this is just their way of giving back to society and positively impacting students so that they can help the world with their careers.

Anne Ford and Allegra Ford Thomas Scholarship

Allegra Ford Thomas Scholarship 2024 is a program awarded to graduating students with learning disabilities.
This organization has been very supportive of students with learning disabilities.

The Ability Center
Ability Center is one of the best organizations offering scholarships to students with Disabilities, they are one of the most friendly communities for helping those with Disabilities to be independent and change their perceptions to better ones.

Ability Center offers scholarships to the disabled so that they can complete their education.
Eligibility for Ability Center scholarship
- Applicants must be enrolled in a post-secondary program
- 3.0 GPA.

Since 1963 LDA has been offering a helping hand to people with learning disabilities, this organization also provides scholarships to assist students with learning disabilities.

The Travis Roy Foundation

Since 25 years ago they have been giving awards and grants to students with spinal cord injuries but lately in 2022 stopped accepting more people into their program.
The Ethel Louise Armstrong Foundation (ELA.
Scholarship worth: $500 to $2,000

The organization focuses mainly on empowering females with disabilities to accomplish their education ambitions.
