Academic RequirementsÂ

For Georgia high school students to benefit from the HOPE Scholarship they must meet up with the academic requirements which are:

The students must be studying at an accredited high school.

Even if the student is studying at a home-based program it must be an accredited one.

The high school or home-based program should be accredited by an authorized accrediting company.

The HOPE Scholarship requirements to keep are as follows:

All the high school students applying for this should be residing in Georgia or be Georgia citizens.

Be in compliance with the drug-free post-secondary education law of 1990 in Georgia

Students should comply with the selective requirements.

High school students should be in good standing with student loans.

They should maintain and keep satisfactory academic     progress.

The students must be willing to study in any of the authorized universities for the HOPE Scholarship.

Obtain a minimum of 3.0 GPA.
