The University of Ottawa, Canada; has announced an Entrance and Excellence scholarships for international students in selected programs in 5 faculties. The student body at the University of Ottawa takes great pride in its international difference and commitment to inclusivity. Hence, when enrolled in any of the qualified undergraduate programs provided in English, overseas students from preferred nations will start to get massive reductions in their tuition fees starting in the fall 2024 term.

Eligibility Criteria for the Scholarship:
To be eligible for the scholarships, the applicant must:
Be a citizen of any country in Africa or one of the countries listed
Be newly admitted in the fall 2024 term in one of the eligible undergraduate programs offered in English in one of the faculties listed
Not enrolling in the French immersion stream
Have a valid study permit when classes start
Be enrolled full-time.
NOTE: Canadian citizens with dual citizenship (Canada and another country) are not eligible hence they already qualify for Canadian tuition rates
Selection Criteria
Excellence Scholarships are awarded through a competitive based process among the top candidates with an admission average of 90% or higher who apply for admission by April 2024, and whose admission has been processed by April 15, 2024.
Candidates whose first choice is the University of Ottawa will be favored.
Recipients must start their program in September

7. A minimum of $20,000 and a maximum of $100,000 over 4 years depending on the admission average and faculty
8. Scholarships can be renewed for up to 12 terms
Conditions for Keeping the Scholarship
Maintain full-time enrolment in the undergraduate program in which the student was admitted and enrolled in their desired program
Have a cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of 5.0 or higher at the end of the academic year for the International English Entrance Scholarships, and a grade point average (CGPA) of 8.0 or higher for the International English Excellence Scholarship.
